In a bizarre crossover event that defies traditional predictions, the game developer has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Uncovered
According to the formal statement, "An unusual encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying transformations resonate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine group.
The adventure concentrates on "peculiar tests and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses
The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the captive, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana alongside numerous objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
